“Everything was great !The hotel grounds are green and well maintained, and the pools are filled with warm seawater. A special thanks to the waiter, Bruien, who was always friendly, attentive, and willing to help. The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the stunning Playa del Duque beach. We really enjoyed our time there.”

“This is a very large hotel however at this time of year it didn’t feel overwhelming when by the pool. The gardens and pools are beautifully maintained, clean and tidy. Our room was a little tired but fine for our needs. There wasn’t any tea/ coffee making facilities but they did provide us a kettle and cups that we washed ourselves and we bought our own teabags and milk. There is a fridge in the room that was useful. The safe was an extra cost. The towels don’t need to be changed so regularly and the pillows need replacing, although soft, they are very lumpy. We found the buffet hot food was not hot enough so we opted to change nearly all of our meals from evening to lunch and opted for salads at lunchtime. Breakfasts ok but some of the fruit was still frozen. There were some nice fresh fruits. If you have coffee with milk, beware if you don’t have sugar, the cafe con leche from the machine is sweetened and the hot milk provided by the waiters is watered down and sweetened. At breakfast I used some whole or semi milk and heated it in the microwave. I didn’t bother with coffee at lunch as i was told by the waiter I had to go to the kitchen to ask for the milk. We didn’t try the other restaurants in the hotel and opted to go out every evening to get away from the busy restaurant with under whelming, Luke warm food. Very difficult I know to cater for everyone and perhaps too big a hotel for us. We found there is a culture of everyone having a certain job, in most places in the area rather than a team work approach. On a windy day at the hotel umbrellas had been blown near the bar, none of the bar staff had reported it. When I said how dangerous it was to leave them, I was told to go and report it to the pool man. It is every member of staff’s responsibility to look out for hazards and report them, it is not the job of the guest. This is a culture that needs to be embedded amongst the staff. However the hotel was situated perfectly with lovely walks and great views, and close proximity to great restaurants. The bar area was busy, with entertainment and the staff very attentive. The reception staff were also helpful.”

“Hello, this hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so friendly. We only had the breakfast buffet and what a treat that is. Very family friendly but certain areas for adults only. However there are restaurants around the hotel and we ate at Jade stone 10/10. Can't wait to come back here. Thank you for an amazing holiday”

“Just spent a wonderful week here for our honeymoon/babymoon. We opted for this resort because of its location further away from the chaos of Los Americas whilst still having the incredible weather in Costa Adeje. The hotel itself is right on the ocean front which was a huge plus for us. The infinity pool at the end made you feel like it was just an extension of the ocean. The beach to the rear of the hotel & going towards La Caleta is not very swimmable and very rocky but there’s a nice beach bar that plays live music, and the swimmable sandy beach of Playa del Duque is just a 5-10 minute walk in the opposite direction anyway. We opted for Bed & Breakfast instead of Half Board or All Inclusive since we figured we would have big breakfasts at the hotel, snack during the day whilst by the pool, and go for dinners locally at night. The restaurant across the street from the hotel called Jade Stone is surprisingly good, and there’s an ATM, pharmacy and supermarket in the same plaza which proved to be super helpful. There are some nice local restaurants if you walk towards La Caleta - our fave was the seafood platter at Restaurante Celso. In terms of breakfast at the hotel, the options were plentiful at the buffet: sweet & savoury crepes, homemade smoothies & juices, omelettes of your choice, freshly cooked bacon & fried eggs, your typical “English fry up” options as well as plentiful Spanish options including meats, cheeses, tomato spread, smoked fishes & caviar, etc, along with plenty of different breads, fruit, cereals, yogurts etc. We didn’t experience lunches or dinners at the hotel so cannot speak to that but the bar staff were always lovely by the pool! As for the hotel itself, the main lobby, bars, outdoor pool areas, restaurants, gym etc are all very nice and in good shape. The rooms however are dated. The room was very clean and the staff cleaned it well daily providing new towels, but you can tell the room needs updating. The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working which we raised to reception a few times however we just ended up opening the balcony door whilst showering to air out the room. We were offered a different room but decided against it because we didn’t spend that much time in the room anyway and we had already made ourselves at home. The bed and multiple pillows (3 pers person!) were soooo comfortable and the black out curtains made for perfect atmosphere to have a good night’s sleep. The staff otherwise were all very friendly and helpful. In other parts of Tenerife you really have to be on the lookout for your possessions at the pool but we felt totally safe leaving phones/wallets in our bags by our chairs whilst swimming. This week was filled with older/elderly couples and a few families with young children, not necessarily the typical “party scene” that’s common in Los Americas/Los Cristianos. There’s not that much to do in the party realm in this location so you’d be having a more chilled holiday. The hotel’s piano bar in the lobby is nice, but their entertainment in Bar Tiede is definitely geared more towards the older crowds. Not many bars in the area otherwise. Overall very good experience and exactly what we were looking for.”

“This hotel was beyond our expectation, especially for the price. Everything is grand, modern. Really relaxing and beautiful. The decor is wonderful and very balanced. The facilities like the pools are wonderful. We had breakfast here and there were many options with great quality. The staff are incredibly helpful and polite. There was live music in the evening, beautiful views, I couldn’t fault it at all. We are usually further down the island where I believe there’s much more to do in regards to immediate shops, restaurants, and bars, so location wise it wasn’t as close, but that’s not a negative, what you’ve got in the hotel itself balanced it out.”
